Here’s why you should train with us.
PSS has been an approved RPII Examination Centre since the qualification existed. The founding team worked inside the play inspection sector, which is why the product was built around the standards rather than adapted for them afterwards.
Our training isn't a bolt-on service. It's built from the same knowledge base as the software, delivered by people who understand what the qualification is actually used for.

“Very knowledgeable and friendly instructor.” “Great course, really enjoyed it.”

Three core qualifications.
All RPII accredited.
We offer initial examinations and renewal courses across all three RPII qualifications. Accreditation is valid for 3 years and certifies inspector's competence for legal and insurance purposes.

Routine Playground Inspection
The RPII Routine Visual Inspection qualification covers playgrounds, multi use games areas, outdoor fitness areas, skate parks, parkour areas, and ancillary items. It trains inspectors to identify obvious hazards resulting from vandalism, use, or weather: broken parts, sharp edges, ground surface issues, and structural concerns.

Operational Playground Inspection
The RPII Operational Inspection qualification covers playgrounds, multi use games areas, outdoor fitness areas, skate parks, parkour areas, and ancillary items. It trains inspectors to carry out detailed checks on equipment operation and stability, going beyond the routine visual to assess wear, sealed-for-life parts, ground surfaces, structural integrity, and more.

Schools Playground Inspection
The RPII Schools qualification is designed for the people responsible for managing school play areas: site managers, head teachers, nursery teachers, and PTA members. It covers routine and operational inspections of static outdoor equipment, training participants in risk assessment, reporting procedures, legal aspects, and the inspection of materials from timber and steel to surfacing types.

The same methodology that runs our software.
As an RPII examination centre, our inspection methodology is published and available to review. It's the same methodology embedded in PSSLive's inspection workflows — so if your team trains with us and uses our software, the qualification and the tool speak the same language.
